1-0 to Bremen looks good but sounds like a pretty poor game, when's the UEFA cup draw?

1-0 to Bremen looks good but sounds like a pretty poor game, when's the UEFA cup draw? The result sounds good but you have to consider that Bremen had 24 players which were injured at that time and they played with the "last" players they had...It was a very poor game... The draw is this Friday at 1p.m. CET -> 9 p.m. your time (sorry, I was wrong with the time). You can follow it on fcn.de. They are going to have a live ticker on the website. As we are not seeded for the draw we get a club which is seeded - like Villarreal, Lens, Blackburn, Sampdoria, Galatasaray, Atlético, Everton ...

Good luck in the draw, if they can get through the first round that'll be great for der club.

Good luck in the draw, if they can get through the first round that'll be great for der club. That's what we hope aswell as the big money comes when we get to the group round (the 2nd round). We might either play Florence, Moscow, Bucharest, Bolton or the loser of Seville/Athens. We know more in about 90 minutes

The draw is over: we play Rapid Bucharest/ Rumania. According to the draw the first match will be the home match in Nuremberg on Sep. 20, the away match will take place on Oct. 4. I don't know what to think about that draw.

Well it could have been a lot worse Rapid Bucharesti is a very achievable victory, if Nurnberg can gain some form!

Yea, it's not been a great start to the season for 1.FCN saw that they got a point this week, how was the game? We got one point but lost 2 more... I haven't been to Cottbus and haven't seen it on TV as I have been to a handball match...But I can tell you what it was like in the summing ups on TV. We played worse again...Cottbus got a penalty which can be given but you don't have to give it; after that Cottbus had some quite good chances to get a 2-0 lead...Robert Vittek was sent off after 60 minutes; that was the change in the match: we played better and scored the 1-1 (a header from Andy Wolf). Nicky Adler scored the 2-1 for us, but the ref didn't give it as a goal (he saw a foul committed by Marek Mintal but it wasn't one...).

Terrible terrible start and it gets even more terrible: Robert Vittek has a knee injury and gets a surgery today or tomorrow...so he will be missing quite a few weeks... It was a quite good match. Got to see the club which is German champion, won the Champions League and the Cup final and has 2 Word Champions playing for them... Unfortunately, I didn't get to see Australia playing in the World Cup. I just got to see the German matches on TV. The locations where Germany and Australia played were too far away from Nuremberg so I didn't get to see a match live.

Again some bad news: Robert Vittek will miss until next year... During his surgery on his meniscus the docs found out that his cartilage is damaged aswell...
It is likely that he doesn't play a match this year anymore.

oh that's terrible, I've been playing Nurnberg on Football Manager 2005 and sold Vittek for $26 million to Milan, so he's good on that. And I know he's a quality striker in reality, will open the door for Kennedy though.

Well, actually Vittek plays as a striker on the right side (I don't know how it is called) and honestly, I don't know if Kennedy can play on that position.

Don't know if you have seen it already but fcn.de is now available in English. just go to www.fcn.de, then click on "Zur Homepage" which leads you to the main page, and then click on the English flag on the left.

BRILLIANT idea, obviously figured out they have a huge Australian support base!
I would have thought Vittek would play as a central striker.

He prefers playing as a central striker but in Nuremberg he has to play on the right side. He plays on his preferred position with the Slovakian national team. We got 2 central strikers: Kennedy and the Greek European Champion Angelos Charisteas.

Will be interesting to see what Meyer does now, probably a reshuffle of the front line?
