Just a short outlook on tomorrows match against Dortmund.
Dortmund is one of the worst away teams - they just won once and have one draw. But we aren't the very best home team.
But all this doen't count tomorrow at 5 p.m. It's an "all or nothing" match - we have to win...if we don't, well, I don't know...
In order to achieve this, the team went on a short trainings camp starting yesterday.
Don't know if any Aussies will be in the starting XI. As far as I know and according to the papers Meggsy and Josh will be in the squad, Spiro still recovers from his injury.

First of all the papers were wrong. Meggsy started and Josh wasn't even in the squad.
And 2nd, it is unbelievable, but we won; 2:0 against Dortmund. This was pretty important as the distance to plce 15 is just 2 points now.
Meggsy did very well. In my opinion it was one of the best matches he played for Nürnberg.
There isn't much to say about the match itself. We started well and Galasek scored the 1:0 after 10 mins. The 1st half was that good that Dortmund didn't even have a chance to score. After the break we lost control of the matchfor about 30 mins...but Dortmund was to silly to score. So Charisteas scored the 2:0 in the 90th min. All in all it was a deserve win.

At the moment our 2nd match in the group stage of the UEFA Cup at St. Peterburg/Russia is ongoing. According to some live tickers Meggsy is in the starting XI. leading 1-0, then going behind 2-1, then pulling off a late equaliser. ends 2-2. sounds true to 1.FCN's form, but i guess normally they would have not scored the equaliser. meggsy yellow carded in the 45th. they're now on 1 pt, ahead of only zenit st petersburg at the bottom of the table, with work to do to make the round of 32.

I haven't seen any second of the match yesterday so I have to rely on posts on the fcn forum: According to these posts Meggsy played a very good match yesterday although he is not used to -10C I think.
All in all I think that the draw will help and encourage us for the upcoming matches in the Bundesliga. We play in Duisburg on neyt Sunday 5p.m. After that we have our 2nd home match in the UEFA Cup on Wednesday 8.45p.m.

Yesterday we received another knockdown.
We lost 1:0 in Diusburg. By the time Duisburg scored the goasl we had to lead 3:0 but we weren't able to score from 5 meters into the empty goal...Additionally, Adler and Engelhardt just hit the post and the crossbar, respectively.
Meggsy played the whole 90 mins. He received a yellow card early and was before a sending off twice. But in my opinion he did well again.
Vidosic played the last 9 mins.
On Wednesday we have to play Alkaar at home in the UEFA cup.

As you probably have noticed yet we won yesterday against Alkmaar 2:1. It was our first win in a UEFA Cup home match for 44 years...So it is a really historic date - and I was in the stadium *g* We played worse in the 1st half and get the goal after a great trick of Alkmaar. Meggsy cleared with a header but someone from Alkmaar was free in front of our goalie. Charisteas missed a very huge chance right before half-time. In the 2nd half we played 1000% better. We needed a lot of chances but eventually Mintal scored twice within 3 mins It was a great end for that evening. Now we have the chance to get to the next round in the UEFA Cup. We have to win or get a draw in Larissa/Greece on Dec 20th and Alkmaar has to lose (then a draw is enough for us) against Everton, if Alkmaar draws we have to win to pass to the next round. It would be great to proceed as there will be clubs to play which drop out of the Champions League but on the other hand I don't know what to think about playing the next round in the UEFA Cup as the Bundesliga is much more important to me... Yesterday, Meggsy played again 90 mins and did a very good job. There weren't any Aussies on the bench. Spiro got back to training after his injury, but I don't have a clue what happened to Josh... Here are some links to yesterdays match: The goals (with German commentary) video.google.de/videoplay?docid=-4081930157861167524&q=N%C3%BCrnberg&total=5836&start=0&num=10&so=1&type=search&plindex=3Some pictures: fcn.de/index.php?id=16119Our next match is on Sunday, Dec 9, 5p.m. (CET). We play Hertha BSC Berlin at home. As we lost last week in Duisburg it is important to get these 3 points sothat the difference to place 15 doesn't increase. Edit: here's another link (with Dutch commentaries) video.google.de/videoplay?docid=-7541936263833549568&q=N%C3%BCrnberg+Alkmaar&total=7&start=0&num=10&so=0&type=search&plindex=5

On the 16th matchday of the season we achieved a 2:1 win over Hertha BSC Berlin yesterday night. We played a brilliant first half and lead 2:0 at half-time but we could have easily scored even more goals. The 2nd half started like the 1st one. The fisrt shot from Berlin on our goal was the 2:1. After that we had some serious problems. In the additional time Hertha scored the draw but it was offside!
Meggsy didn't play and wasn't on the bench as he is injured - he has some problems with his adductors (?). So it was no Australian in yesterdays squad.
We have to play Schalke 04 away next Saturday.
