Will be interesting to see what Meyer does now, probably a reshuffle of the front line? I don't know what he is going to do. Maybe he sticks to the 4-4-3 or he changes to a 4-4-2. If he sticks to the 4-4-3 Misimovic may play the part of Vittek as he has done that last year when he played for Bochum.

Well happy, meggsi had a fairly solid game for Australia. He was marking Messi for most of the game so obviously had some tough moments but generally did OK.
Kennedy was brilliant though! He looks to be in fine form. Mariners striker Nik Mrdja came on for him - our latest international.
Heff sat on the bench.

The injuries continue: Galasek will miss the match against Hanover but there is hope that he can play in the UEFA Cuo on Thursday. Ivan Saenko will miss tomorrow aswell but it is not clear when he can play again...

this isn't good news Galasek especially is a big loss. And Saenko with the other injuries is an issue.

Yesterday he came in for the last 20 minutes. Hopefully Saenko may play on Thursday (he says that he will be fit) as Peer Kluge will miss because of an injury he got yesterday...

What a match...
We started well but then the ref didn't give us a clear penalty. Hanover got the ball and scored after a corner the 1:0...we got a bit confused and got the 2:0...Hanover got 2 chances an scored twice... After the break the coach subsituted: Kennedy came in for Glauber and Engelhardt for Kluge. Then we started playing football and made a lot of pressure on Hanover. After a corner we made the 2:1 (Misimovic) and one minute before full time Mintal drawed...
We had chances to score 5 or 6 goals...Mintal hit the post shortly after Hanover made the 2:0. Both Kennedy and Charisteas had 2 chances to score but they didn't put the ball inside although Hanovers goalkeeper didn't have a chance but everytime a player from Hanover stood in the way or got the ball from the line...
In my opinion Kennedy improved a lot. He won nearly every header but should have made 2 goals...
The morale was good, the playing elements improved and we fighted very well.
The way we played in the second half makes me quite confident for Thursday's UEFA Cup match and upcoming games (7 games in 23 days).

Just came home from the match. We achieved a 0:0 draw but we could have won it easily... Charisteas had 4 big chances (3 with the head) where he was alone in front of the goalkeeper. But he didn't score... We fought very well and our playing improved since the last match. Kennedy came in somewhen in the 2nd half and made a quite good match, he also had the chance to score a goal... Meggsy was on the bench, Spiranovic and Vidosic were not in the squad. ____ We have quite a good chance to get to the group stage with this result as a 1:1 draw in Bucarset in 2 weeks is enough. Every draw which is higher gets us there aswell. Edit: In the 2nd half we had a ball possession of about 90% (that's how I felt it was like). Bucarest had 2 or 3 realy good chances and we had about 6... Edit 2: We got an amazing choreography at the beginning of the match: The text is: We got the cuo in Berlin and now we are looking what the Club can achieve in the UEFA Cup.

Josh Kennedy is not in the squad for todays match in Hamburg. According to Hans Meyer he heas to play for the reserves today and recommend himself for Wednesday's match against Leverkusen.
I don't know what happened between Meyer and Josh after Thursdays match.

Our choreographies are organised by a fan group called "Ultras Nürnberg". They are responsible for the good vibes in the stadium, they start singing an so on...
Everybody in the Nordkurve (that's where all the supporters are) had a flyer on its seat where everything that had to do with the choreo was written on. It said exactly what to do. So we had to start holding the papers up about 6 mins before kickoff (when our club song started) and put them down with kick off....

I forgot something: The choreo from the UEFA-Cup match was a kind of sequal from the choreo Ultras Nürnberg made for the Cup Final. In the plane there is the same "person" that "stole" the cup on the choreo in Berlin, and now he is flying through Europe. This choreo says: In 39 years we've been proud and loyal but as we are here we get the cup with us. A lot more choreos can be seen at www.pumuckl24.de fotos&videos, choose the season, glubbspiele

I haven't checked, and i don't know German, but does "Nordkurve" roughly translate to "North End"?
