looking at the nurnberg website meggsy has still only played 2 senior games while heffo hasn't played any.I hope heffo realises that the A-league is a higher quality than the German 4th division and comes back next year yes, but when you are getting paid over half a million dollars a year you can stick it out for a few years and set yourself up financially for life

Sorry, that I didn't post here for quite a time. I was very busy. I see you already found out the latest facts Today got an assist for the reserves. He still got Pinola for the left defender position in front of him and Gresko (who played Champions League with Bayer Leverkusen and Inter Mailand about five years ago) as a backup for both left position, which means also Midfield. However the winter break is quite near and after that the situation could be completely new. After the two week break the whole team will go a little south for preparing for the second half of the season. Here is another nice pic from Michael yesterday (against Ljuboja, Serbian international): I couldn't watch one of the three matches myself, but against Schalke he was quite nervous at the beginning and Kuranyi had two chances, but afterwards he made no mistake anymore. Meggzi even got the chance to score a goal. Against Hamburg yesterday there was a funny situation when Michael passed the ball to the goalie and he let it slip under his feet. Fortunately it wasn't in front of the goal, but a little left

Australian youngster Matthew Spiranovic has won a contract with Nurnberg after impressing coach Hans Meyer during a trial period this month.
The 18-year-old defender, who has so far played only college football, still qualifies for Nurnberg’s Under 19 team, but Meyer believes that he will be able to make the grade to the first team very soon.
“He has everything you need and I believe that he will flourish at our club,” claimed the veteran coach.
Spiranovic, who also holds an English passport, put pen-to-paper on a contract until 2009.
He is the fourth Australian to join Meyer's squad, following Michael Beauchamp, Josh Kennedy and Dean Heffernan, who all arrived in Nurnberg in the summer.

Spiranovic is an amazing talent. I saw him in one friendly match. He played like a 30 year old, who is part of the team since a couple of years. Everyone in Nuremberg can't wait to see him play in the Bundesliga.

We've won again Again with Meggzy He made a great match. He played against a rather unfair player (Brdaric), but he stayed calm and won most of the headers!

That's what Beauchamp is respected for here! Seems he is starting to show some form for you Cyber! But be careful, Michael is no softy - if he gets angry the opposition better watch out.

Well I was a little surprised how hard he already plays. Because players that are new to the Bundesliga fear body contact. And he doesn't at all. He is far from being unfair, but even sometimes pushes his opponent effectively or keeps him distant from the goal. Hanover yesterday often tried to do a header, but Michael opponent Brdaric were nearly never close to the ball then. Here you can see how hard he worked yesterday:

That was a criticism of the Socceroos going into the World Cup. It's a throwback to the days when all we had was a bit of size and no technique. As you go up in the grades these days tho, the more technically adept players tend to come thru. Micahel would have had his fair share of rough and tumble matches in Australia, believe me.

I didn't mean it was too physical. It was 100% right. He was never even close to a yellow card.
