Trouble is, you dont have the actual $$ to use do you?? SFC couldnt even hang on to "Go top Urself". The Hyphen was offered $90k by Perth Glory. To match that would be foolish - considering we already have four players in that position. The HAL will improve in quality again for V3 and if the poor people down the F3 cant scrape together some $$ quickly, expect to see Spencer as your midfield lynchpin. You'd be genuinely surprised at how much cap room we have to spare. Plus the marquee role we use...

Sydney will have a strong squad next year there's no doubt about it IMO, plus as Jaza said if or when a decent marquee is signed they will only be stronger. Who their full time coach is will also have a major impact on their season, if Cullina gets the nod IMO it will be a move in the right direction.
Losing Sasho and Ceccoli would have opened up some room under the cap, how much of a pay rise Carney and Bolton got thou would be interesting to know?
Sasho IMO is definitely our gain and Sydney's loss thou. In saying that, their marquee could end up being an out and out striker? Who knows?
Perth and QLD are yet to impress me in the transfer market but Mariners, Melbourne, Jets and Adelaide are my early tips for the finals with Sydney very close. Hopefully the top 5 or 6 teams in V3 will be separated by only a few points, which is VERY possible.

My opinion of Petrovski before he joined CCM matched that of Jazzy, however I would now refer to him as 'an opportunistic finisher' and it is exactly what we need - I dont care if he is a good bloke or not as long as he scores 10 goals. Sydney are now benefitting from Cullina but need some new signings. CCCM, Melb & Adelaide have recruited well to fill gaps. Perth looks only to have squad players apart from a couple of stand outs at this stage.

Jazza, I agree my detailed knowledge of what went on between Sasho and your last coach is limited to what was printed in the media . However the point I wish to make is that if you are not settled behind the scenes your team will not perform. Hopefully all that is behind you. I see some improvements to Sydney already, losing Butcher, losing T-S (what a waste of money by Perth) and gaining Spenny. Do not write him off, he has done some great things in the past; His goal against Perth, His ricochet goal against Sydney, His goal against Melbourne, after Stewie's free kick took out Muscat's nuts, (everybody else was to busy celebrating the free kick and laughing too much to put the ball in the net), And his greatest achievement, he replaced Fossie at Northern Spirit. ;D

Spencer will be gone. He's a liability. He's been outshone by State Leaguers in every trial we've played. Last night v.s. Marconi was hideous. The man just can't complete a forward pass over 10yds, and even those he completes inside 10yds are usually too heavily weighted.

Mile offers so much more

Sounds to me like a step up from his performances for us in V2.

What have u heard that i';ve missed in all honesty with all bias aside scum have no chance all i've seen is they have lost players.Anyway although there being labelled as budget fc sydney will pull something out of the hat and IMO will be at the top of the race for 3rd/4th between syd adl perth qld melb and ccm will be top two 3/4th will be between one of the regulars either adl or syd and the other pozzie will go to perth or qld one of them will step up and make the top four dance. NZ if they still there wont be a force till atleast 09.imo sasho will score 5goals in 3games vs sydney that alone will be worth his contract but he will also poach some nessarcary goal against other clubs=good investment.! P>s THANKU jaz for being one of very few rival members who actually contributes positivly wiv an outsiders view to our forum.

They have the players already. Their losses apart from Sasho are not too great and they are not worried about losing him (we shall see).
Their gain has been in a change of coach. Butcher ruined them last year.
Their only problem (a large one) at this stage is a lack of depth which I think could prove fatal unless they stay miraculously uninjured or make some solid signings.

Well Sydney had just signed a striker for 2 years - Micheal Enfield. He previously played for Los Angeles Galaxy.
