Great marketing idea for the next home game......... The Bay 16 Emo culling contest. Works as HT entertainment too :-) Count me in! Our half time entertainment is generally shite and Emos are human canetoads. We'd be doing something positive for the community

.... Ah, just an average night in the Bay; superstars, goals, emos, (VERY)yummy mummies, shhhkippy poofs, angst-ridden glamourous teenage females, what more could you ask?? Regards, AM Eggy, I won't tell you what was going on in MY head last night...how IS your mum? and did she have you when she was 10 years old? Lol jeff na she's not my real mum but she's 1 of 2 people i'd miss a game for(pre season NZ)she's been great to me yeah 40!! Great result f#*k I love the bay was worth missing out on free drinks in the box but judging by how much of a mess i am today I did enough drinking. P.s Anybody pick up a oldish nokia in the kendall in all the hype I lost it

I must disagree with earlier posts, I thought that the Bay was alright last night. From where I sat (yeah, sorry, I know) Bay 16 wasn't too bad. Sure it wasn't as intense as the awesome display last week, but derby away is very different in that we ALL tend to be together as an invading force, including a good number who'll tend to spread out and 'lounge around' at home. You looked big enough and singing was well audible, then there was a drop in intensity after half time - like the boys. I was disappointed in the rest of the crowd. We got a pretty lame (9 clap - MARINERS) happening in the 2nd half. I know the Bay tried to trow the crowd some simple chants which didn't reaaly catch on. Keep trying it though. It will happen. For me maybe it was the rush to get there after work - less fired up (farken) and no beer . (Was the sole adult with kids and the bar line was kind of too long for me to go). I agree that the answer to occupying the critical parts of the Bay is getting in early. Result: great ;D Like everybody I'm sure, wanted Nik to get his hattrick (or more) and add a 'biggest win' record to the 'run of back to back wins' one on the night. We seemed to have lost our way a bit in the 2nd half (which seemed to go on fer EVER) and the introduction of the subs seemed to make it worse. Nik seemed to be sore (back and later knee) after a couple of crap fouls (which were awarded) - tell me he's OK. WE ARE top of the league, we are TOP OF THE LEAGUE

Oh, and do you think they (in the other three games) could all do it again this week? Sydney 2-2 Adelaide FT

On my travels around the ground, I thought that the bay looked pretty good! Only from around half way does it start to thin out a little. Where's the masses of teenage emos sitting down that I'm hearing about?

Oh, and do you think they (in the other three games) could all do it again this week? Sydney 2-2 Adelaide FT Sydney goalkeeper Clint Bolton and Ruben Zadkovich failed to communicate as a ball was lobbed toward the FC goal, with the latter hurriedly launching a skyward clearance onto the head of Adelaide forward Bruce Djite. Djite nodded the ball into Nathan Burns who headed past a disgusted Bolton. HAHA, Bolton. Socceroo, your having a laugh.

right in the core of the bay was a lull of very young, teenage girls and boys, non yellow chatting throughout the whole match.
i think it might be up to a very drunk Perm to stand right in the middle of them and tell them to ...fire...up? farkin.

They all parade around behind that side of the stadium too.. dunno they think its a good place to pick up girls/guys or something. What Emos are doing at a Mariners game i'll never know.

Oh, and do you think they (in the other three games) could all do it again this week? Sydney 2-2 Adelaide FT Another draw Melbourne 0 - Perth 0. So two out of two draws for this week. One more game tomorrow to go and another draw would make the pundits shake their collective heads. Wow what a bizarre start to the HAL3. Only one winning team after 7 games. Weird.

It's times like these I'm glad to be a Marinator...... Our biggest problem is emo kids in our bay. Said problem is easily solved by all of us being in the ground by 45 minutes MAXIMUM before kickoff. Compare this to the problems with the Home End in Melbourne at the moment: www.bluewhitebrigade.com/news.htm* The BWB have moved to Level 3 due to the following - "As time went on and the general terrace popolus grew the area was no longer accomodating to what BWB was trying to acheive." Translation: the kids are pissing us off on the ground level. * Half of the people who might have gone to Level 3 have decided to stay on Level 1, and the people who did go to 3 are MIGHTILY pissed at the ground level types. * The Level 3 people consider themselves to be the true support, whilst the Level 1 people feel the same about themselves So essentially there's this massive shitfight _within_ the Melbourne fans, who've seen this problem tear the support apart during preseason, and they've all blaming each other BLAH BLAH BLAH. If only they were as lucky as us with their "issues" (which honestly, are of a 'my dick is bigger than yours' variety) as we are. ;D

A big part of the problem was the extra room we had at the back of the bay with out the crows nest there. We had a lot more of the core yellow group up the back than we did last season. Where as last season myself and a few others were forced to move down the front due to a lack of space in the back 6 rows I quite easily fitted into these rows. I say sending perm into the middle of them all is a great idea ;D possibly in the banana suit. but similarly having enough people down the front to force them to stand if they want to see anything apart from each other works as well. as for the intensity, the mariners were up 3-0 by half time, we didn't need to lift the boys and I think that showed but having said that there was only so much "we want 4", Nicky score us a hat trick and the like we can do. still love "you couldn't score in a barnyard" ;D

Greenpole, I took the pic and can tell you that it is around midway through the second half. Fair enough, but its hardly a "yellow army". Photo evidence is all good, but it was quite obvious that there was still a lot of young people in the bay, at different times during the game, who didnt give a shit about the game, getting involved, singing, wearing yellow, ect. Limited set seating, for those that want to actually have a go, is the way to go. We will sound better, and others may actually get involved. Start from the back, and work our way down the bay. As more people get interested and involved, inquire about more reserved seating in the bay. Sorry if no one else thinks this is the way to go, but I see nothing changing in 5 years time if we do nothing, and it will be sad if we dont grow over that much time. If anything, those that DONT sing and DONT wear the yellow will multiply.
