just an idea
same tune as the 'yellow yea yellow' chant
but sub in players names..
kwassy works the best
eg.
kwassy yea kwassy
kwassy kwassy
kwassy yea kwassy
kwassy kwassy mariners FC
and continue with other players names which fit..inc vidmar..hutcho..etc etc
could work well once we establish an order of names
maybe even start with yellow yea yellow and then move into names? i dno just ideas

(I know, I mentioned it before somewhere else, but in light of another post on this thread about other songs coming up on these boards....)
I think at this stage we should just churn out a whole bunch of stuff
then maybe have another thread on what we're actually going to adopt, then put those on the website - then actually remember to learn them for the season ;-)
And we need to keep working on tifo! (though there's another thread for this)
Something else we could sing when Danny makes makes a save:

Could also be used anytime one of our defenders makes a great tackle.
I do think we need a victory song....preferably one NOT chosen by a SeaFM competition......I think that may be something to work on in the offseason.

i actually dont mind that one - it just goes on a bit too long i think when 100 8 year olds from kimpton public were doing it on sunrise this morning, it just killed it stone dead for me. i never saw the whole swimming carnival thing til then, and it was just like *BANG*... nevertheless, i think we've stalled a little bit with songs, it'd be good to get some good simple ones out. |
