I don't think anyone would know yet. But it would be good and definitly ease the situation. Depends on how far we go. Semi- final or Final. It's hard to say in this early stage whether we'll win it or not. But we'll be very close. ;D I wonder how we would go. Anyone here an expert on asian football? Anyone?

I have for a long time thought that only one team made it in. Which does seem more appropriate.

Yeah, I don't doubt that we'll be there. It's just I want the league to mean as much as if not more than the final series and champions league places would help. So would a f*cking big trophy.

Is it the top two in the league or the two in the grandfinal who get into the champions league? I really hope it's league position. I don't really like a final series, but that's the way it's gone. The way I like to think of the finals, to get to sleep at night, is an FFA cup, where only the top four teams gain admission. It's the same thing but looking at it from a different angle which gives the league more credit. At the moment the league is just a 21 round way of finding who goes into the final series. I feel that the league standings at the end of the season are cheapened by having a final series. Furthermore, if the champions league places go to the teams in the grand final the league and league standings would be completely robbed of their prestige. There had better be a huge trophy for what I think is unfairly titled 'the minor' premiership. To end up on top a team has to play very well and consistently over 21 rounds. I think with eight teams all of which could beat any other team, almost, the premiership will be well earned, but will it be recognised as such? So can someone tell me who goes to Asia. And please let it be good news.

I put on $60 walked away with $217. $20 to win. $20 mariners/mariners ht/ft. and $20 for mariners by 2 goals or more. If only. I won though and funded some unexpected escapades. Thanks TAB.

yeah, I reckon it wouldn't be that hard to get local bussinessess to donate a prize if we're handing out 1000 zines with a "HMV voucher raffle", for example written on everyone. Does anyone know someone that would be up for a gift voucher donation?

Have a bit that can be torn off as a free raffle ticket for a prize. Name:......... No.:............ That way they keep the magazine, or atleast that bit, and incentive to come to the game. Hand in the thing or buy a ticket before game and we'll draw it at half time.

Roar fans to drive home happy from games Thursday, 18 August, 2005 - 11:48PM
Queensland Roar fans have an extra incentive to attend games at Suncorp Stadium this coming Hyundai A-League season, with one lucky person at the every game set to walk away with a brand new car.
Roar Chairman, Mr John Ribot, announced the major $150k match day promotion for all Roar home games today, with one lucky supporter will drive away in a brand new Hyundai Getz.
John Ribot said the promotion was the club’s way of adding further value to the match day experience for Roar supporters.
“The Hyundai A-League is a new venture and we need the support of the Queensland public. Football Federation Australia have built this new league and Queensland Roar have built a new team, but for it to be successful we really need people to get behind us.”
“Everyone who registers for the promotion and comes to Suncorp Stadium for the Roar home games will have a chance of driving away in a brand new car that day,” Ribot said.
“I’m sure this will be an added incentive for people to come along and watch the team play.”
“We want to get the biggest crowd on the opening weekend and make history for football in this country. The challenge is there for all Queenslanders to help forge another great football team for our state,” he added.
Fans can enter by text messaging their name to 19 99 ROAR (7627) or by phoning 1900 99 ROAR (7627) and must be in attendance at the stadium on game days to claim their prize. The lines will be open from midnight tonight (August 18th) to register.
Hyundai Motor Company Regional General Manager, Marc Beardmore, said the promotion further enhanced the relationship between Hyundai and Queensland Roar FC.
“We are proud to be associated with both Queensland Roar and the A-League. Hyundai are strong supporters of the game on a worldwide level and we are absolutely delighted that we have been able to assist in getting the Hyundai A-League off the ground.“
“We hope the football community recognise just how hard FFA, Queensland Roar and Hyundai are working to provide them with not only a robust and professional league, but also the match day experience that has been lacking in the past.”
Beardmore added: “I would like to echo John’s (Ribot) sentiments and encourage the public to get on board with the Hyundai A-League and make it a success. The framework is there and all it needs now is for football supporters to get behind it and turn up in their droves.”
Queensland Roar’s Hyundai A-League campaign begins at 3.00pm on Sunday 28th August at Suncorp Stadium when they take on the New Zealand Knights.

The word on the street is that Sully will be captain and Spenny was dropped because of flu not poor performance. Why risk the captain's health in a preseason match? Noone would abrubtly drop a captain for one mistake.

10 different players at each venue seeing that they are at the same time. The Erina Fair one sounds like it will be a better squad.
