Same. I got into the stadium and was just up near the merch stand when they announced it.Managed to get a copy of the full 90 though.
The pitch did look pretty crap, there wouldnt have been much left had we played on it, and i dont think it was worth risking injury either.
I'm slightly worried about the large amount of sydney supporters whom now with no game to go to might all swarm into a bar, get pissed then wreak havoc through Gosford.

"Constant rain fall overnight and throughout the day made for dangerous conditions at Bluetongue Stadium" - Quote from official site.
So they decided to call it off with 20 mins before kick off did they??? Amateurs. Any CC Club would have known to close their ground hours earlier.
I am so farkin angry about this - it was evident at 5pm that they had issues (according to Gorman) so why the wait??
The Mariners organisation screwed over the people who turned up, bought food, drinks, poncho's etc. They will make more money from the replayed game so must have been delighted. I hope my $25 makes you choke.
On Fox, LG was saying how well received it was by the crowd. What a joke, he should have heard the people leaving with me. Amateurs, rip off merchants and clowns was by far the nicest thing going TBH.
Rant over

Mariners have no control over a game postponed, council controls the ground and the referee controls the match. Unless the game is played this week, I have a sinking feeling the suspensions will carry over to the game vs the Snore

I'm in that pic can u c me? ;D
As disappointing as this outcome is theres some ups:
The game would ov been rubbish remember the nil all with roar last yr the pitch was in similar condition any air ball would have just stopped dead.
Gives tommy p and gumps and kwaz time to heal.
As for suspensions IMO the game will be played mid week this week so they wont be affected but if they are then it doesn't bother me yes qld are closer and we need to beat them but I'd love to beat Sydney more just for bragging rites we gunna win the league anywayz.
Also i believe qld's lil hott streak is over and they will be same old donkey qlders next week. Nobody's in real impressive form at the moment theres 3 now only 3 teams with any sort of momentum atm imo Perth Syd and us Perth's won sweet FA yet r still scarier than most rite now Syd still haven't lost since kozzy and well mariners but were not exactly lighting up the league either.

From the official site.
"the Mariners, in conjunction with Football Federation Australia, Sydney FC, stadium management and referee Matthew Breeze, deciding it to be in the best interests of players and spectators that the match be staged at a later date"
Read the quoted article first please!

Mariners may have had some input to it however the ultimate decision come downs to the referee AFAIK Just thinking it didn't seem as bad as other waterlogged pitches games have been played on, just look at the one from NZ vs Perth (Last season), and Mariners vs Qld..

Game should have been called at lunchtime when the ground was a lake. After last year's game V Roar Rugby grand finals a couple of months ago it is clear the drainage system at Bluetongue is a joke. Most modern stadiums can handle torrential downpours and be "dry" 30 min later. My biggest concern is that the game would have gone ahead if they could have marked it. Then we would have had a shambles like the Roar game. Looks like the game will be on Dec 21st as the Christmas break has started. No other games should be good for our crowd. www.smh.com.au/ Photos from the SMH

Very disappointed. I've been fired up all week and telling all and sundry that Sydney at Bluetongue is (while unnoticed by some) the true jewel in the A-League crown, where the highest percentage (but still minority ;D) away crowd creates a very special atmosphere. But... remember Rd 3 2006/07? It was a shit football spectacle (and 0-0). It shouldn't have been played either: Gotta get the drainage problem sorted. Some in the Cove are calling for 3 points, CCM to be fined for not providing league-standard ground and the replay to be at Aussie.

Should and could have been called off earlier. It was obvious that the we had too much rain to go ahead a few hours earlier.
No info on any local radio until the game was due to start.
A lot of very pissed off and disappointed people around.
