Kendall is my choice, the only problem being the absence of a large, pull down screen. Whilst we are at it, can we get charles to change the name to ' THE MARINER' ? Just a thought, he seems to be able to do everything else for us. And thats why i am not interested in going to any other establishment for away games........ Ditto for me Red, Charles is a huge part of why I think the Kendall would work. I know he gets paid for it, but being in the field myself where I'm dealing with functions in 5 star venues, he is one of the best. Always 'above and beyond'! Having said that....how about it Charles? 'The Mariner' sounds great doesn't it? heheheh

I've been following the discussion on the ideas for the marinators/mariners areas etc. I think the 'theme' that seems to be emerging is sounding quite good. That is that the mariners are here for all to enjoy and the 'sports' bar is just that, a bar with the sports theme. So seeing that the Mariners are our only national team (and one to be proud of!) I think there should be a nice big taste of Mariners in there as well as other codes. The Kendall bar will always be dear to true marinators hearts as thats where we all started it from. I can see a definate need for an area dedicated to watch away games etc, why not the kendall?...(for now) and when that becomes too small, then look at expanding elswhere. As far as the 'bowling club' idea..I am all for families as you know, but as a dad myself who used to take my boys to the game, the kendall was MY area to have a beer with my footy mates as a bloke, not a dad, so I prefer a separate area for pre game drinks, and footy bullshit stories etc. I agree a projector on the wall would be the go (ceiling mounted, only around $950 at the moment!) would be the way to go.I understand that the kendall bar has many other purposes during the week (and the off season) but how hard would it be to quickly 'dress it up' with a few A1 size framed pics or jersies etc prior to 'away game' night?

All 'fair enough' posts (even yours rowdie! ) and by the way, what I meant by the ref. to your mum was that SHE wrote the post, not you. Bloody written word, it can be hard to get a 'dig' in without doing major damage sometimes! No disrespect meant to her mate.(only YOU! hehehe couldn't resist) Tugger, only 3 posts and this is what you get! wow, talk about dynamite writing! You know what they say, no publicity is bad publicity! Now I REALLY want one, can't wait to be holding it at a barby and be able to tell this story!! hehehehe. Lets all try to put this to bed now with no hard feelings huh? (hope you got my pm rowdie)

Yeah post number 1 should have been more informative, for all we know they could have been trying to make a few bucks for NYE, so I see where Rowdy is coming from. If it's all in the interest for the Marinators then I am all for it! However, I would rather but my $10 towards our NYE treasure hunt! (All $10 goes towards the Marinators cause) yeah DJ, and rowdies post shouln't have been so in your face! example: let me reply to rowdie in the same way he posted instead of the way I did and lets see how it looks... whats on them?... what do you think? der! What colour are they?....purple with pinks spots Einstein! Where dya get em?....whats it to ya? What did you pay for em? ....none of your f***ing business pal! If theres a profit, are you gonna give it to the Marinators bank?....What?...you think I'm doing this so I can retire in the caribean? dickhead dickhead! I say all this because: A/Your post seems to have been posted by a bit of a dickhead who didn't think before typing B/You are NOT god!Hmmm....shit that sounds awful, I'm glad I thought about how I was going to get my point across withought pissing a fellow marinator off!

Hey rowdy, don't jump in so fast champ, if you treat people like you did in your post, its likely to be his last one too and that aint what we want...is it? I can vouch for this guy as I've known him since he was in kindy and I know he has Marinators best interest at heart. Perhaps ask first before jumping down someones throat and casting aspersions on someone you know NOTHING about? Nice one tugger, count me in (pm me your bank details and I will direct deposit. Jeff.)

wok, if the pic you want to post is on the net somewhere, right click on it and choose 'properties', now highlight the address and copy that address by right clicking on the highlighted address and choosing 'copy' now in your post here, click the 'insert image' button. now paste that address you copied in between the two (img) tags.

Holy travelling audio waves radioman!!! This is fantastic! For us down here in Adelaide and not having fox, our weekly Mariners match usually involves sitting around the computer screen and hitting the refresh button every 1 or 2 mins! (is that the 21st century version of the family sitting around the fire listening to the radio before tv came along or what?!?!) Now we can get some audio happening! whoooo hoooo! Well done. and thanks.

can i say how impressed i am with the outcome here - there we have a good set of solutions, decided in a sensible and democratic way (it's not like people didn't have an opportunity to have their views put even if, like me, they couldn't attend) and above all it's a pretty moderate set of ideas. there is no need for a full on PC-police to whip out the nightsticks on a dodgy song or any fool that does something else inappropriate. we're a sensible group and we can deal with things sensibly. great work! My feelings exactly. Im not sure that placing 'core' marinators around the bay is the answer ,both in relation to watching for 'offenders' or starting chants across a wider area. I prefer the idea of there being a nucleus which will gradually spread outwards (besides, i quite like who i stand with!). I do however agree that we were packed into bay 16 like sardines against Bling and that we should spread out. I think ive seen the likes of glenn do it before and it makes sense both in comfort and visually to the rest of the stadium. Just because you arent in bay 16 it doesnt mean you are not marinating afterall. In time bays 15 and 17 will be marinator strongholds And perhaps if the 'true' marinators (anyone wearing yellow?) were to spread out more, the ones not wearing yellow would be spread out to bay 15 and 17?

There you go marinerd, capable of contributing after all! Wasn't so hard was it? Not that I am against your point mate, its just the way you 'typed it' in your first post. Now, couple of points here "would I say that to your sister" bloody oath, does she have big tits? "what did you think, they would show you their tits?"...well actually, they did. In the early days, guess you weren't there. " did you ask the girls if they thought it was fun" ...of course not.The answer would have been too obvious!
